Hepburn Radio began internet broadcasting in December 2015 at the old police quarters behind the Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre (DNC). The original committee included Pat Harrison, Mike Brown, Ian Bailey, Max Primmer, Trevor Shard and Sharon Nicholson. Sadly, Pat Harrison and Mike Brown are no longer with us.
In September 2021, we acquired access to the 88.0FM Low Power Open Network (LPON) narrowcast broadcasting license in Daylesford. An application to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) to move the license location from its original location in Albert Street to Camp Street, Daylesford was approved in April 2022.
Following that, Hepburn Shire Council and the Daylesford District Community Bank provided grants for the purchase of a transmitter and antenna. The antenna was installed by local technicians Sigtek. The signal strength has been tested can be received between 5 and 10 kilometres from its location in Camp Street (depending on topography).
FM broadcasting launched in December 2022, while internet broadcasting continues.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we broadcast and pay our respects to Indigenous Elders past, present and emerging. At Hepburn Radio, each of us contributes to inclusion — we all have a role to play. Our culture is the result of our behaviours, our personal commitment, our curiosity, how we collaborate, and the ways that we courageously share our perspectives and encourage others to do the same.
